Erin Buckley Burnett

Erin Buckley Burnett brings a unique blend of public policy, private sector strategy, and grassroots fundraising to her role as Annual Fund and Donor Relations Manager. A longtime advocate for public education and equity, Erin is a parent of two SMMUSD students and actively serves as Co-Chair of Site Council at McKinley Elementary.
Originally from Canada, Erin began her career as a senior policy advisor, where she led high-impact stakeholder engagement, legislative strategy, and fundraising initiatives across multiple government portfolios. After moving to Los Angeles, she transitioned into business development for an international NYSE-listed tech firm, supporting executive communications and global client engagement.
Locally, Erin has held leadership roles with several nonprofit boards, including President of Canadians Abroad and Head of Partnerships for Santa Monica Pony Baseball. She is passionate about inclusive community-building and has a strong track record of exceeding fundraising goals, cultivating donor relationships, and producing impactful events.
With her deep ties to Santa Monica schools and her commitment to educational equity, Erin is excited to help drive SMEF’s mission forward and directly benefit all SMMUSD students.
