Academic Enrichment Grants
What could you do with an extra $1,000 or $5,000 for your classroom?

The Ed Foundation’s Academic Enrichment Grants (AEGs) give certificated teachers in Santa Monica’s public schools the opportunity to enrich their classrooms with innovative programs and classes.
These grants help teachers introduce new concepts, bring creative ideas to life, and take students on field trips that expand learning beyond the classroom.
Teachers can apply individually or collaborate with their teams through two funding opportunities: Individual Grants of up to $1,000 and Super Grants of up to $5,000.
INDIVIDUAL GRANTS
Up to $1,000
Every Santa Monica public school site is guaranteed one AEG if it meets the guidelines. More may be awarded based on school size and available funds.
SUPER GRANTS
Up to $5,000
For collaborative teams — one school, grade level, core, department, or house. One lead teacher fills out the application.
How to Apply
Academic Enrichment Grants are available to certificated teachers in Santa Monica’s public schools.
Complete the AEG Google Form application and include:
- A detailed project description
- An itemized budget
- A timeline
