Rachel Faulkner
Rachel has worked at the Ed Foundation since 2011. In her role as the Ed Foundation’s Associate Director, Rachel oversees the Annual Campaign and works closely with school and PTA leaders on annual fundraising efforts for Santa Monica families. She also supervises the staff, manages operations, oversees endowment-funded programs, and works on Summer Adventure. Before coming to the Ed Foundation, she worked at DC Public Schools, where she managed a team of 12 people in the Special Education department’s testing and evaluation center. Prior to that, Rachel directed the London region of Teach First, the English version of Teach for America, where she managed the two-year program for the 250 teachers placed in London schools. She spent a total of 6 years at the Association of Independent Schools of Greater Washington, a member services organization for independent schools in the DC area, where her last role was Chief Operating Officer.
Rachel received a Bachelor of Arts in English and German from Duke University and a Master of Science in non-profit management from Roehampton University in London, England. She lives on the Westside with her husband and two children.
