Rachel Faulkner

Rachel has worked at the Ed Foundation since 2011. In her role as the Ed Foundation’s Chief Operating Officer, Rachel oversees all of the organization’s operations, as well as the programs funded by the Ed Foundation. She also manages the Summer Adventure and College Essay Writing programs. Before coming to the Ed Foundation, she worked at DC Public Schools, where she managed a team of 12 people in the Special Education department’s testing and evaluation center. Prior to that, Rachel directed the London region of Teach First, the English version of Teach for America, where she managed the two-year program for the 250 teachers placed in London schools. She spent a total of 6 years at the Association of Independent Schools of Greater Washington, a member services organization for independent schools in the DC area, where her last role was Chief Operating Officer.

Rachel received a Bachelor of Arts in English and German from Duke University and a Master of Science in nonprofit management from Roehampton University in London, England.
