Alison Havel

Board Member

Alison Havel has a B.A. in Psychology from Georgetown University and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. She spent her full-time career as a Human Resource Consultant. Since leaving full-time work, Alison has focused on volunteering and fundraising within the Santa Monica-Malibu School District, both at the school site as a PTA leader and through her role as a Board Member of the Santa Monica Education Foundation, where she has served since 2014. She and her husband have lived in Santa Monica for 18 years and and have two children who attended SMMUSD at Grant, JAMS and Samohi. Her daughter graduated in June 2025 and is attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Her son still attends Samohi.
