John R. Baracy is currently a Managing Director in the Los Angeles office of Raymond James & Associates, Inc. Raymond James is a national and California leader in underwriting K-12 school district debt to build facilities and other important projects. He began his public finance career in 1994 and has experience in all facets of the municipal finance business. He specializes in the management, structuring and underwriting of California K-12 Education new money and refunding general obligation bonds, certificates of participation, tax credit bonds, Mello-Roos bonds and tax and revenue anticipation notes. Throughout his career, he has completed more than 500 financings totaling over $9.5 billion. Mr. Baracy has a bachelor’s of science degree from Arizona State University and is registered with FINRA Series 7, Series 50 and 63 security licenses. In addition to serving his duties as a board member on the Education Foundation, he also participates on the Corporate Partners Program Committee. Mr. Baracy currently resides in Santa Monica with his wife Kristen, son Max (2nd-Franklin Elementary) and daughter Rian (K-Franklin Elementary).
